Structural load of Jiefenglong PC sheet is classified into 3 types: permanent load (dead load), variable load (wind power, snow load), and accidental load (explosive power etc.). Generally, for bent and frame structure, design value of load effect combination can be reduced by the following formula:

Herein:γG=partial factor of permanent load, generally 1-1.2 CG= load effect coefficient of permanent load,GK=standard value of permanent load, γQi= partial factor of the 1st variable load, generally 1.4 CQi= load effect coefficient of the 1st variable load, QJK= standard value of the 1st variable load,ψ=combination coefficient of variable load0.85.

Snow load

For horizontal installation (tilt slightly), the plate must be able to bear the load incurred by snow, and the tilting angle should be at least 5° (1m long, front end is 10cm high). Snow melts immediately after contacting glass greenhouse. However, because of good insulation of hollow plate, snow will not melt immediately and snow load appears.
Fresh snow: 0.8-1.9KG/m2, 1cm thick
Water and snow mixture: 2.8KG/m2, 1cm thick; climate of different areas is different, so snowing condition is also different. According to GBJ-9-87:

Herein: SK= standard value of snow load, KN/m2, μr= snow distribution coefficient of roof, So= basic snow load (unit: KN/m2), (to be decided by the dead weight of the maximum snow within 30 years on common open and flat ground of the local)

Wind load

In vertical installation, be care that the plate must be able to bear wind load which increases (6 floors of a building bears at least 1.5 times wind load of 1 floor) with the increasing of installation height. According to German DIN1055 standards.

Wk= standard value of wind load, KN/m2, βz=wind vibration factor at Z high, μs= shape coefficient of wind load, μz= variation coefficient of wind pressure height, Wo=basic wind pressure, KN/m2 [according to the 10min average maximum wind speed Vo (m/s) within 30 years obtained from 10cm above the open and flat ground of the local; wind pressure is decided as per Wo=Vo2/1600.]

Banding and fixture

Hole of hollow plate shall always be downward, which is good for exhausting condensing water and prevents it from accumulating in groove and forming green chromatin at special temperature. In order to prevent the groove from accumulating damp, dust and insect pollutant, be careful while installation; besides, special attention should be paid to sealing treatment of both ends of the plate; damp, dust, insect or other substance in sun plate will badly affect light transmittance, thermal insulation and appearance of sun plate. The selected sealing material should meet the following requirements:
a. Sealing of plate ends should ensure that water, air and dust can’t pass through.
b. Sticky material of sealing material, i.e. gasket cement, should be harmless to sun plate.
c. Sticky material should be able to keep sticky property for a long time under sudden changing and high temperature environment.
d. Plate should be cut and drilled to change its shape. Take Jiefenglong hollow plate as an example, sun plate can be cut by commonly sharp blade, i.e. wall paper blade, and can be drilled by common twist drill. While drilling, drill small hole at first and expand to the required diameter gradually. The hole should be at least 40mm away from plate edge, and its diameter should be bigger than that of bolt, so as to adapt to expansion and contraction of the plate.
e. Sealing strip is resistant to weather and will not loss sticky strength after being used for a long time.
f. When manual installation, sealing strip is excellent in tear resistance.
Standard edge sealing method is shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. The top notch is sealed by waterproof tape and bottom notch is sealed by lacunal transition band. U-shaped plate can be installed to the transition band with holes at the bottom, so as to minimize dust, help exhausting the condensing water, ensure ventilation of holes and avoid excessive condensing water, and be convenient for cleaning.
★ Notice: sealing method of bent plate: while installing circular vault, notches of both ends should be sealed by lacunal transition band.
★ Edge adhesive tape of Jiefenglong plate is only used for protection while transporting and storage but not for water proofing or installation. Before installation, those adhesive tapes should be replaced to special edge adhesive tape. About 5cm protective film of edge should be torn before installation, and all protective film should be removed after installation.
