Common installation method

Embedded installation method

a. Enough embedded space should be kept according to different plate thicknesses, expansion and contraction conditions, supporting frames and snow loads etc. Generally, edge of plate will stick in the fixing frame for over 25mm; and at least 2 ribs should be installed at fixing area. Thermal expansion is 0.065mm/m.℃.
b.Thermal expansion space should be kept between plates according to local climate and the temperature while installation. Less space will be kept for installation in summer and more space will be kept for installation in winter. For embedded installation, plates should not be too long, because the longer the plate, the higher the thermal expansion.
c.Installation requirements: after installation, the plate can still displace slightly on the frame and will not affect filling material and plate or frame; therefore, the filling material should have certain adhesive force and flexibility.

Screw installation method

a. When installing screw or rivet, aperture of plate hole must be 50% bigger than that of screw or rivet, so as to satisfy the displacement while expanding and contracting. Don’t fix screw or rivet immediately after opening hole; otherwise, the space for expansion and contraction can’t be reserved.
b. While drilling on plates, the distance between holes should neither be too wide nor too narrow. If the distance is wide, the accumulated thermal expansion length will be longer and the reserved space is not enough. If the distance is narrow, movement of plate will be restricted strictly, and the stress will be too centralized. If outward bending is allowed while thermal expansion, partial stress can be offset.
c. If plates are drilled, 50cm hole pitch is proper, and it’s better to kept over 3-5cm distance between hole and plate edge.
d. Head diameter of rivet should be 2 times higher than that of the handle. Gasket or washer should be added to prevent the plate from being damaged due to partially accrued high pressure.
e. Screw should not be fixed too tightly so as to prevent the plate from cracking. After fixing, the plate can displace slightly.
f. It's not suitable to use PVC gasket or waterproof adhesive tape containing asphalt, because their chemical additives may corrode the plate and result in crack and even break of plate surface.
g. While cold bending, bending part can’t be fixed by screws.
h. All gaps should be filled with neutral silicone structural seal, so as to prevent detergent from entering edge and affecting plate quality.
